P16-R Series Mini Linear Servos
The P16-R series is the servo variant of our popular P16 actuator line. P16-R servos are powerful and built to last. They're constructed using an anodized aluminum shaft, all-metal planetary gearbox, stainless steel screw and bearings.
To use the P16-R, you must simply plug in the included Ext-R board, and you're ready to go. Please be aware that the power supply must match the rated input of the device, which is 12V. If you're using the servo in an RC application, you may need to use a separate power supply to meet the 12V requirement. The P16-R mini linear servo is ideal for projects where higher force or speed is required, and RC or Arduino control is required. Applications where minor actuator customization or remote position monitoring is necessary are also a good fit. Using our Ext-R board saves you designing a custom controller or a custom actuator.

- 4 Stroke options: 50mm, 100mm, 150mm and 200mm
- 3 gearing options for maximum speeds between 46mm/s and 4.8mm/s and maximum forces between 50N (11.2lbs) and 300N (67lbs)

Are P16-R servos plug and play with RC receivers?
Most RC receivers operate between 5-9V. As all P16-R models require a 12V input, we recommend using a dedicated 12V power source.
Are P16-R servos plug and play with Arduino?
Arduino boards are not designed to power such a large device. As with RC applications, we recommend using a dedicated 12V power source..
What comes in the box?
You will receive a P16-P linear actuator with a mounting hardware kit, as well as an External-R board. This combination together functions as an R-Series linear servo. The External-R board is required for the P16 to function as a servo.
Can I just run the servo at 6V?
The servo will likely move at 6V, but will not meet datasheet performance numbers. This may also affect product warranty.
